Intermediate Vocal Music
Intermediate Vocal Music is a class designed for students who have some choral experience in high school. We review the fundamentals of music literacy and music theory, as well as prepare music for multiple concerts over the course of the semester. Students will leave this class with the ability to interpret basic musical notation, to use refined tone with consistent pitch while singing with others, and to develop a criteria in which to evaluate music. After meeting all of the objectives in this class students may remain in intermediate, or have the opportunity to audition into Proficient Vocal Music (Ensemble) which focuses on more advanced theory and techniques.
