Beginning Vocal Music
Beginning Vocal Music is a class designed for students who have little to no musical experience in high school. We focus on the fundamentals of music literacy and music theory, as well as prepare music for two concerts over the course of the semester. Students will leave this class with the ability to interpret basic musical notation, to use refined tone with consistent pitch while singing with others, and to develop a criteria in which to evaluate music. After meeting all of the objectives in this class students will have the opportunity to move into and Intermediate Ensemble which focuses on more advanced theory and techniques.
